Story:
American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles battle the laws of physics and their own personal demons to create a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), a professional racer forced into early retirement due to heart disease, goes into car sales. Warm and likeable, he is a natural salesman and a people person. He is also an incredible vehicle designer and engineer. Meanwhile, Ken Mel (Christian Bale) is a racer who is currently working as a mechanic and running his shop to support his wife Molly (Caitriona Balfe) and son Peter (Noah Juppe). He tells it like it is and sometimes annoys the customers, but he does nothing. At a race, Ken is told that his car does not meet the rules and starts shouting angrily at a race official – Carol notices and calms him down, but the two later have an argument. Done and Kane throws a wrench at him. Later, the IRS comes and closes Ken’s garage, and he is forced to give up most of his racing to take care of his family.
