Story:
A man seeking the release of a longtime prisoner takes a police officer, his daughter, and a group of strangers hostage. Jackie Chan plays Captain Zhongwen of the mainland Chinese police. He visits his somewhat estranged daughter Miao Miao (Jing Tian) who is studying to be a nurse at an industrial-chic bar that has been converted from a factory. Zhong Wen eventually finds out that Miao Miao is dating Wu Jiang (Liu Ye), the owner of Wu Bars, but he denies it.
