During the height of political corruption in the 1970s, Gangnam, south of Seoul, began to transform into a developed area. Childhood friends Jong-dae and courage struggle to survive until a shack is destroyed by local thugs. Desperate for money, the two become embroiled in a violent political clash and are separated during a single clash. Three years later, Jong-dae lives as an honest man with former gang leader Gil-su. Meanwhile, Courage joins the Myeongdong faction, Seoul’s top criminal organization. Courage, a gangster, gets involved in a tough fight over the land of Gangnam in the name of collecting presidential election secrets that increase the value of Gangnam. While the gang fights for rights to various lands, Courage is captured and interrogated by a rival gang. The southern part of the strand has been transformed into a developed area.
