Tony Stark. Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Son of legendary inventor and arms contractor Howard Stark. Tony Stark is assigned to give a weapons presentation to an Iraqi unit led by Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes and will be placed on the enemy line. The ride ends badly when Stark’s Humvee is attacked by enemy combatants. He barely survives with a chest full of debris and a car battery attached to his heart. To survive, he devises ways to miniaturize batteries and discovers that batteries can power other things. This is how Iron Man was born. He uses a primitive device to escape from a cave in Iraq.
