Suraj Singh (Anil Kapoor) is in love with beautiful and wealthy Komal (Karisma Kapoor). They dream of a perfect family together, but her arrogant father Yashpal Chaudhary (Amrish Puri) hates Suraj because he is a wealthy middle-class young man. Komal breaks all her ties with her father and she marries Suraj. She will soon become pregnant. Komal and her estranged father meet at her family wedding and forgive her for her sudden departure. Yashpal agrees to meet Suraj, but when she gets home, she sees a seducing woman in Komal’s robe drinking tea in the kitchen. Suraj walks away unaware that a woman she does not know is in her house. Komal asks her seducer and says she shares Komal’s husband. Komal gets mad at her and tries to kill her, but Su Raj stops her and tries to prove her innocence over and over again.
