Alaskan trooper Jack Holcomb believes that Robert Hansen is a serial killer who kidnaps, tortures, rapes, and then murders young girls. However, Holcombe doesn’t have enough evidence to get a search warrant for Hansen’s building. Holcombe learns that her victim, Cyndy Paulsen, has somehow survived and decides to ask her for her help, but finds out that she is now a drug addict with trust problems. Holcombe has to earn her trust. Meanwhile, Hansen is still hunting and killing the girls.
