Set in London, “Scopia” tells the story of Vasia (on-screen Polish character Joanna Ignachevska), an ordinary professional worker who experiences a ecstatic relapse with master Dr. Edward Stanton after suffering. As soon as you start (naturally, somewhat strangely) the fact that Basia’s recollections during these drug relapses appear, by all accounts, to be from a troubled adolescence as well as a troubled past life. As these “memories” spring forward, her unique, warm memories of her young mother’s mercy fade away and she begins to approach her dull powers to disturb and crush her. While Basia struggles to prevent these dull forces from penetrating her present, she progressively struggles to maintain her rational sanity and ability to counterattack. She has an exit plan, but the most difficult way is to shake her humanity around.
