I’m not a huge fan of this Toy Story short film, and I think everything else ends up being so delightful in the third element movie that everything else risks hurting the franchise. But Toy Story of Horror was satisfying enough, so I gave this Christmas theme briefly. The subtlety of these shorts is that it’s clear that everyone involved thinks about the characters and the stories they’ve been put into, so there’s no feeling of poor or shabby deal. . Likewise, re-using the first voice works wonders, and despite the fact that it’s a fast and painless story, it’s definitely a commendable extension to what’s been missing recently.
